So, we made the offer. Our Realtor, Donna Saulino, who is excellent by the way, should be dropping off the offer as we speak. It took about an hour of straight signing and initialing and another hour of patient explanation by Donna but we got it in and I'm pretty sure we're the first. Who knew that an offer contingent on so many things would require so much paper work ;)
We had a really cool FHA consultant, contractor and fellow homebrewer Pauly Stonewall of Stonewall Construction come and take a look at the place. He gave us quite a bit of food for thought but mainly he reassured us that despite some old systems, this place is structurally sound and that its possible to do what we need to within our budget.
We should hear something from the seller tomorrow so for now we wait (fingers crossed).
